Danielle Elise Mokaba - Bernardo

 

     At Wakefield Memorial High School, Danielle Mokaba was a whirlwind of quick energy in all she chose to do.  In soccer, she was a four-year varsity letter winner and captain during her senior year.  In indoor track Danielle was a four-year letter winner, captain her senior year and set a Wakefield School record in the 45 yard dash with a time of 5.7 seconds.  In outdoor track she again was four year-letter winner and captain in 1994 setting Wakefield school records in the hundred meter dash (12.1 seconds) and 200 meter dash (26.4 seconds.)  In case you were not counting, that is 12 varsity letters in four years.  Upon graduation In 1994, Danielle received the Katherine Nichols (HOF) award which is donated by the Wakefield High School Athletic Department and presented to the outstanding graduating female athlete.  She was also second place in balloting for the Dutton Scholar-Athlete Award. 

 

      Danielle went on to Bowdoin College where she competed in soccer and indoor and outdoor track.Danielle Mokaba-Bernardo  After Bowdoin College, Danielle went on to Harvard University to further her education and so far has attained the degrees of an AB in Biology and M.ED. in Administration.  Mrs. Danielle Elise Mokaba- Bernardo has remained on the fast track in life also and currently is Assistant Principal at Revere High School.
