Wakefield High Football 1969

This was a team which had a great season due to, at least in part, a lot of players turning in some great record setting individual performances.

Jack Roberto set a school record which would not be topped for 36 years by throwing 13 touchdown passes in one season.

Bob Menimem received a pass from Jack Roberto good for an 86 yard touchdown against Reading and 2nd place in all-time records.

Bob Menimem returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown against Reading to notch a place in the record book.

Dave Keough and Jack Roberto clicked on a 61 yard touchdown pass against Melrose for a place in All-time records.

Following the season, Jack Roberto would be named Boston Herald All-Scholastic and Boston Globe All-Scholastic 2^nd team.

Dave Lapham HOF would be named Boston Globe All-Scholastic at end of season.

Dave Keough HOF would also be named All-Scholastic

Ken Malonson won the Shawmut Award as the outstanding player in the annual Thanksgiving game against Melrose
